Have you ever wished you could go back and watch your favourite soaps from the very start?

EastEnders fans will be very excited to hear that UKTV will broadcast classic episodes of the iconic soap on the Drama channel.

It will travel back to February 19, 1985, so fans can witness the late Leslie Grantham as Den Watts, as he and Ali Osman (Nejdet Salih) and Arthur Fowler (Bill Treacher) stumble upon a lifeless Reg Cox in his flat in the soap's very first scene.

Fans will also see long-running characters Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) and Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) back when they were just teenagers.

The announcement comes just days after Leslie Grantham passed away at the age of 71.

The iconic episodes will air on Drama on weekdays at 12pm, and will also be available on-demand on the UKTV Play catch-up service.
