Good Omens soundtrack: What songs appear in the Amazon fantasy drama?

Good Omens has finally been released on Amazon Prime Video today (May 31), and we're excited for many reasons.

Not only is it based on the excellent novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, and stars the brilliant David Tennant and Michael Sheen among others, but it also has a kickass soundtrack.

The trailer alone featured the familiar sound of Queen and David Bowie's 'Under Pressure', and the whole show includes a heavy dose of the Freddie Mercury-fronted band.

The songs that feature are:

Episode 1:

In fact, Freddie himself appears in the show (of sorts), when actor Ben Crowe voices the late singer while David Tennant's character Crowley listens to the radio in his car.

Speaking about why the show features so much Queen, Gaiman told i: “It began as a joke between me and Terry which was never intended for publication.

“Terry used to joke that you can never remember buying Queen’s Greatest Hits. But if you leave any cassette in your car long enough, it turns into Queen’s Greatest Hits. I put Crowley listening to ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ in his Bentley into the novel.”

Director Douglas Mackinnon added: “We’re all super-fans and the wonderful Queen have given us permission to use ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and other songs in the score, which is just a joy.”
