What did we all love most about Magnum PI? That's right, his iconic moustache.
Obviously, that now means that an upcoming reboot of the classic 1980s cop show has removed the famous facial hair. And his shorts.
US TV network CBS is remaking the series that originally starred Tom Selleck as PI Thomas Magnum.
The show's first official photo sees actor Jay Hernandez without either Magnum's 'tache or the shorts:

And fans of the original show weren't too happy with what they've seen so far:
It's not Magnum without a Detroit Tigers hat, a mustache, and shorts.

The new Magnum PI will largely stick to its original plot of a former Navy SEAL opening up a private investigation business in Hawaii, and it launches this autumn.
Can he just grow a moustache by then?
