Congratulations are in order for two soap favourites.
Emmerdale actor Mark Jordon, 53, has announced that he has got engaged to his 35-year-old co-star Laura Norton.
Mark plays Daz Spencer in the ITV soap, while Laura stars as Kerry Wyatt.
He tweeted: "Well 2018 had some of the highest highs and the lowest lows. Really got to feel the love of true friends.
"Feel blessed by the support of my children and elated to have heard the word “yes “ from the most beautiful woman in the world (sic)."
Mark and Laura's big news comes less than a month after he pleaded not guilty to attacking a pensioner. He appeared at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester in December, denying wounding and common assault after an alleged incident in the summer in Oldham.
The actor was granted bail until his trial, which is scheduled to take place on July 29. Mark was previously charged with grievous bodily harm and assault.
The news comes soon after their fellow Emmerdale co-star Fiona Wade (who plays Priya Sharma) got engaged to her former co-star Simon Cotton (Hugh Bryant).
Mark was previously married to actress Siobhan Finneran from 1997 to 2014, and they have two children together.
