Cushty news: Sir David Jason is bringing back his iconic role of Del Boy Trotter.

The TV actor will reprise the role from Only Fools and Horses for a special event celebrating the show.

David Jason will play the character at an event in February, according to The Daily Star, where he will speak about his time filming the classic comedy.

A tour of the talk is expected to follow the one-off event, which has yet to confirm a venue.

For the show, the Trotters’ famous flat in Peckham will be recreated, as well as various other familiar set pieces, such as the Nag's Head pub.

“I am looking forward to having the opportunity to meeting so many Only Fools fans,” Jason said. “It’s going to be cushty.”

Jason last played Del Boy in 2014 for a Sports Relief special, while the original series ran from 1981 and 1991. The show returned for a series of Christmas specials up until 2003.

Only Fools and Horses has also returned in the form of a hit West End musical, starring co-writer Paul Whitehouse as Grandad.

Rodney actor Nicholas Lyndhurst ruled out a new series last year, due to creator John Sullivan's passing.

“We can’t,” he told the Press Association. “John is no longer with us. John was the driving force of the show and we have also lost quite a few cast members now.

“At the risk of depressing everyone, I think the last two times I’ve seen David [Jason] has been at funerals.”
