Michelle Visage is no stranger to the world of reality TV, and she will next appear as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing 2019.

But who exactly is the Drag Race star and what is she most famous for? Here are all the handy facts you need:

  1. Who is Michelle Visage?

    Michelle Visage is an American singer, TV presenter, radio DJ, and all-round media personality.

    She is best known for being a member of the band Seduction, and also appearing as a judge on the reality show RuPaul's Drag Race since season 3, and on its spin-off show RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.

    In 2019, she won her first Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Competition Program as a producer of the eleventh season of Drag Race.

    In the UK, she previously appeared as a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother, and made her West End debut as Miss Hedge in Everybody's Talking About Jamie in 2018.

    Michelle was born on September 20, 1968.

    She celebrated her 50th birthday in 2018.

    On August 5, Strictly Come Dancing unveiled Michelle as the latest start to join its 2019 lineup.

    Speaking about her appointment, she said: “I’m very excited, I’m actually over the moon. This is one show I’ve loved for years."

    She added: “I’m a woman that’s 50-years-old and I want to be out there representing women of a certain age.”

    Other contestants to be announced so far include former Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley, social media star Saffron Barker, CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual and sports presenter Mike Bushell.
