ABBA's Benny and Bjorn and the Mamma Mia cast will perform on next week's X Factor

ABBA will be making a return to the stage (of sorts) next week, when Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus will make an appearance on the semi-final of The X Factor.

On tonight's episode of the ITV talent show, host Dermot O'Leary revealed that Benny and Bjorn will appear for an ABBA special.

Not only that, but 'cast members' from the Mamma Mia films will also appear for a special performance of ABBA classics.

However, he did not confirm which cast members will be appearing on the show.

ABBA are in the process of staging a sensational comeback, with special 'ABBAtars' holograms set to head out on tour in 2019.

The Swedish legends also returned to the studio together earlier this year, and will soon release new music for the first in over 35 years.
