Sean Stewart, the eldest son of Sir Rod Stewart, gave his social followers an update after being rushed to hospital after getting hit by a truck this week.
Sean Stewart said he is "still in a lot of pain" while he recovers from being "hit by a truck at a red light".
The 42-year-old, the third eldest child of Rod Stewart, posted an Instagram Story on Tuesday night (October 25) to share an update on his health.
The entrepreneur posted a selfie alongside his Labrador Retriever Prince, writing: "Still in a lot of pain.
"Got my best Friend by my side #dogydoctor."
He added: "My best friend always here for me. Be back for #grownupfridaynight after rest and recovery."
Sean had previously told followers in a post that he had been "hit by a truck".
A representative for Sean told The Mirror that he was "rear ended" by a truck in Los Angeles on Tuesday (October 24). They explained that he was driving to a meeting when the truck "slammed into him rather fast".
He was taken to Cedars Sinai hospital following the accident, before having an MRI that "showed he has a dislocated shoulder and other injuries". He is now at home and is expected to make "a full recovery".
They added: "Sean is very happy nobody was seriously injured and is very grateful for the efforts of the emergency and medical staff."
Sean is Rod's eldest son and the youngest of two children that the singer had with ex-partner Alana Stewart. The pair were married from 1979 until their divorce in 1984. They also have a daughter, Kimberly Stewart.
Rod's oldest child is Sarah Streeter, whom he had with former girlfriend Sue Boffey. He also shares daughter Ruby Stewart with his ex-partner Kelly Emberg.
Rod also has two children from his second marriage, to model Rachel Hunter: Renee Stewart and Liam Stewart.
His youngest children are with his wife Penny Lancaster: sons Alastair Stewart and Aiden Stewart.
