"Don't fall, don't fall, don't... Oops."

Soon after winning the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek took a tumble holding his prized trophy:

The Bohemian Rhapsody star was swiftly picked up and collected his Oscar off the stage as he laughed off the fall.

Before he fell, Malek gave a heartfelt acceptance speech in which he thanked his co-stars and girlfriend Lucy Boynton who plays Mercury's lifelong love interest Mary Austin in the film.

Queen also opened the evening with a rousing show that got the crowd on their feet. Adam Lambert joined the original Queen band members Brian May and Roger Taylor for a medley of 'We Will Rock You' and 'We Are the Champions' which had the entire auditorium singing along.

Malek seemed to be unhurt by the fall and was seen joining fellow Oscar-winners and nominees after the ceremony in celebration.

Bohemian Rhapsody won four Oscars at the award ceremony for Best Actor (Rami Malek), Best Sound Mixing, Best Film Editing and Best Sound Editing, and was nominated for the Best Picture category.
