Baftas 2019 announced – The Favourite, Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star Is Born lead nominations

Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star Is Born are at the top of the table with seven nominations each, behind The Favourite that leads with 12 nominations.

Nominations for the Bafta Film Awards 2019 have been announced today ahead of the ceremony on 10 February.

Period comedy-drama The Favourite starring Olivia Colman, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz leads the way with 12 nominations, including Best film and Outstanding British film.

Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody follows with seven nominations, including Best film and a Leading actor nomination for Rami Malek portraying Freddie Mercury.

A Star Is Born also has seven nominations, with both leading actors Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper up for Leading actress and Leading actor awards.
