Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star is Born get Oscars nominations - here is the full list

Awards season is very much here, and the 2019 Academy Awards nominations have now been revealed.

Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star is Born are among the movies battling it out for the coveted Best Picture Oscar, alongside the likes of Black Panther and The Favourite.

Rami Malek is up for Best Actor for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury, while Lady Gaga is also up for Best Actress for her appearance in A Star is Born. Her co-star Bradley Cooper is also up for Best Actor.

A Star is Born is nominated for eight awards in total, including Best Song for 'Shallow'.

British nominees include Richard E Grant with his first ever nomination for Can You Ever Forgive Me?, while there are nominations for Olivia Colman (The Favourite), Christian Bale (Vice) and Rachel Weisz (The Favourite).

The Favourite and Roma have the most nominations with 10 each.

The 91st Annual Academy Awards ceremony will be held on February 24, and here are the full list of Oscars nominations:
